As for Quitman, it is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. It breezed past Northeast Jones last week with a final score of 41 - 20. One major factor in the win was the play of sophomore true, who ran for 129 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. This sound performance was nothing new for Lewis, who has been a rock for Quitman in the past four games. Sophomore Kesean Johnson was in the mix too, providing Quitman with two touchdowns. Their wins bumped Quitman to 4-5 and Northeast Lauderdale to 6-3.
